Choosing a Promotional Product
In order to retain the old and new clients and create awareness towards a particular branding, company always brainstorms to choose the best promotional product to be given out to them. There are a few considerations whereby a company can take account in choosing a promotional product to promote a product.
First and foremost, the cost of promotional product must be take account for. It should be cheaper than the real product for promotion. The cost should not be more than the actual product and profit. There should be a win-win situation between clients and company.
Secondly, company may consider if the item is practical for usage. It is suggested that company should choose the type of gift which can be used by clients in daily lives. Main factor which customers deem in promotional product is the usefulness. Instances of items for daily used such as water bottle, pen, sticky note pad, mug and towel can be considered in using them as promotional merchandise.
Apart from that, company may choose to give out company’s own product as free gifts. Perhaps, the gift should be something related to the product sold. Hence, customers may not mind that to purchase a product to get another product for free instead of forking out some money to pay for another product. For instance, when promoting a rice cooker, you can probably give out a rice container or a rice paddle as complimentary gift.
Big corporate companies with big names should not be giving out promotional items which looks cheap and of no quality as it will reflect a negative impression on them. Hence, company may compare the free gifts chosen with company’s own products.
The details which are printed on the gifts should be able to retain for a long time and do not worn out in a short time. Companies should take note on the colour of the details to be printed on promotional gifts. Company’s logo, names or a few words of appreciation or important occasions can be printed will be printed on the gifts noticeable clearly and explicitly by choosing colour which may contrast between the printed words and the gift.
